Apple Federal Credit Union serves more than 300,000 members through 22 banking branches in the Northern Virginia market. Apple previously worked with Meridian Imaging Solutions to replace the credit union's fleet of multi-function and desktop printers. Recently Apple identified a new issue Meridian could help with: video surveillance.
Apple wanted to increase security in the IT server room at the credit union's new headquarters building. The credit union needed a way to ensure that unauthorized employees didn't make changes to the mission-critical equipment in the server room.
The Meridian team provided an overview of security camera company MOBOTIX and its relationship with Konica Minolta. The conversation grew to include the security needs of Apple's 22 branches. AFCU agreed to let Meridian bring in a representative from MOBOTIX to present our solution and demonstrate the capabilities of a comprehensive approach. We helped install MOBOTIX systems at Apple's headquarters, its offsite data center, and three branch locations.
Apple was impressed by the service and made a commitment to install MOBOTIX security cameras at all 22 branch locations. The credit union plans to fortify security across all branches.
