Meridian Raises Funds for Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) at Annual Fishing Tournament

Meridian Means Service — not just to our thousands of clients, but also to our community.

In 2013 Meridian created our Community Outreach Committee. This team consists of employees from all sectors of the Meridian family and is completely voluntary. The committee meets monthly to discuss at issues and organizations about which we are passionate and decide how best we can serve them. Examples of some of the organizations we have supported include the Children’s National Miracle Network and Cornerstones.

In the beginning of 2015, I brought a group to the table that is personally near and dear to my heart, COPS, which stands for Concerns of Police Survivors. The Maryland Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors is a statewide non-profit organization providing programs and services for the survivors of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty in the state of Maryland. Survivors include their family, friends, and co-workers. I am a survivor.
